The McMahan Cemetery is very easy to find on Rooster Town Road going east from Hwy 321 the driveway to the cemetery is on the south side road directly opposite a private drive on the north side of the road. There are a row of 5 mailboxes st at the driveway on the same side just past the driveway. Turn right to go up a small incline, stay to the left at a Y in the driveway and you will soon see the cemetery just up the rise. This cemetery is easily seen on Goggle Maps Satellite view and is named Mack-McMahan Cemetery there. I have no idea why it is named that. I think it is just an error, but it does help distinguish it from other similarly named cemeteries in the area. I do not see any Macks buried in this cemetery. This cemetery is well cared for and appears to have about 200 or so grave markers. There is a fenced and gated area for 3 graves of the elders of this McMahan family containing William Mansfield McMahan, 1814-1903, wife Rhoda Giles McMahan, 1821-1888, and her sister Jennie Giles, 1826-1890. Other surnames here are McGaha, Webb, Jenkins, Garver, Ball, Gunter, Ramsey, Valentine, and Baxter.
