The cemetery was established by the Charles E. Conrad family in the early 1900's with the first burials in 1902. The cemetery originally consisted of 87 acres with approximately 30 acres being developed for burial sites. Additional property has been acquired since, for a total today of approximately 127 acres. The location of its natural western landscape is one of beauty on the eastern edge Kalispell. The rise in elevation offers a panoramic view of the Flathead Valley and often snow capped mountain ranges to the east. The cemetery has been rated as one of the best for its natural beauty, ideal location, the care it receives, and the soundness of the organization which was established by Alicia D. Conrad when it was originally founded. Visitors will note its unusual character officially known as the Rural Garden Landscape design whose origin in Paris, France, and copied in Massachusetts, dictates its future as a special. Peaceful resting place for loved ones and for those who wish to stroll and remember.
