Cimetière L'Assomption 1 et 2
Also known as Assumption Parish Cemetery # 1 & 2, Maniwaki Cemetery # 1 & 2, Cimetière de Maniwaki 1 et 2
Maniwaki, Outaouais Region, Québec, Canada
Assumption Roman Catholic Parish operates two cemeteries in Maniwaki.
Cemeteries 1 & 2 are, in fact, a single plot of land with a single shared entrance. It is probable that the original cemetery (Cemetery 1, dating from 1882) was expanded by purchasing an adjoining property (Cemetery 2, dating from 1942). In the picture to the right, you can see the entrance to these two cemeteries - Cemetery 1 is on the left side of the pathway, and Cemetery 2 is on the right side.
No distinction is made here on Find A Grave between Cemetery 1 and Cemetery 2. They are combined together as a single cemetery, which matches the real-world state of these two cemeteries.
Maniwaki Cemetery 3 is also operated by the Assumption Roman Catholic Parish. Although it is less than a mile away from Cemeteries 1 & 2, it does have a separate entrance and should be treated as a separate cemetery.
Cemeteries 1 & 2 are located at the south end of Comeau Street (rue Comeau).
