The cemetery is located next to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, which was organized in 1868. An old Covenanter Church originally stood at this site and was used by the Lutherans until a new church was built in 1870. A 4-acre cemetery (the old section next to the church) has burials of Sarver pioneers and their descendents.
A newer section of the cemetery is located across the church parking lot.
The church is no longer associated with the cemetery. All records are held by the Sarverville Cemetery Association
