Campbell's Hill Cemetery is located on South Street, Telarah, just off the A43. This road is the main exit road to the north from Maitland. The cemetery is maintained by the Maitland City Council who has an online burial register.

The first interment in what was formerly known as the West Maitland Cemetery was in 1850. This cemetery has only two sections: Catholic and Church of England. A Methodist Cemetery is located just up the road at Rutherford.

Campbell's Hill Cemetery has a mix of historic ornate headstones and modern memorials. Unfortunately, many of the historic headstones were constructed of sandstone and have deteriorated, fallen or flaked off over time, or become fairly illegible.

This cemetery is fairly well developed and there is little free space available for more extensive future use. While it is still operational, and there are recent interments, the cemetery is only available for people with existing interment rights, so the number of new graves will be limited.

All surviving headstones were photographed and placed on Find a Grave in 2022 and only new plaques or rare interments may be available to photograph.  Please Note: Babies plots are mostly unmarked and not relocatable.

Border F interments cannot be located. From old maps of this cemetery, Border F is believed to be in the washed out section behind what is labelled 3A and 3B in the C of E section. (See the current maps in the Cemetery Photographs.)   The nearby Hunter River has flooded in various directions over time and washed plots away.
