(Old) HOLY TRINITY is located on the west side of Jaycox Road, 1/2 mile south of Route 254. In 1843 Silas & Charity Mason, received $50.00 from Rt. Rev. Purcell of Cincinnati, Bishop of the Diocese of Ohio of the Roman Catholic Church, for 1 1/2 acres of land to be used as a cemetery. There are two cemeteries in Avon named Holy Trinity. One is located on Jaycox Rd. and the other is on Detroit Rd. The one on Detroit Rd. is actually named Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Both are under the care of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese and records for both cemeteries are kept at the St. Joseph's Cemetery, also located on Detroit Rd. All three cemeteries are within a 3 mile range of each other. The staff does not like cooperating with Find A Grave searchers. I was told that "the information on the headstones is private information". They will only look up three names (reluctantly) at a time, more than three they will charge for "their services and time". (For all three cemeteries).

This cemetery on Jaycox Rd. is about 1/2 mile south of Detroit Rd., (also called St. Rt. 254). It is on the west side and sits back off the road and is easy to miss.
