The upper and lower graveyards flanking Church Wynd were originally a single burial ground for the former Bo'ness Old Kirk. Church Wynd was built during the 18th century at the request of the Duke of Hamilton which divided the burying ground. This led to the custom that people from Bo'ness were buried in the Lower ground and those from the Kinneil Estate in the Upper ground. The burial ground contains many monuments, including some carved headstones from the 17th and 18th century.
The church, which was originally built in the 1630s, was rebuilt around 1775 and remodeled in 1820. In 1919 it became the Star Cinema and was later used as a bingo hall for a short time. It now hosts a business and private home although parts of the old church can still be seen inside the building.
There is street parking near the gate to the lower burial ground on Corbiehall.
