Llandaff Cathedral
Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales
Constructed in the 12th century, Llandaff Cathedral stands on one of the oldest known Christian sites in Britain. Despite being heavily damaged in the 15th and 18th centuries, and again during the 1941 Blitz, the cathedral still has some wonderful examples of Medieval architecture and boasts a 10th century Celtic cross and D.G. Rossetti triptych. The cathedral and graveyard are home to many notable tombs and burials, though few prior to the 17th century remain/are legible. The cathedral graveyard is separate to the adjacent Llandaff Cemetery, which is run by Cardiff Council.
