The first Mass was celebrated in summer 1912, in the Joseph Brilz home, four miles south and two miles east of Richmound. The congregation started using Haverhill Country School as a church in August 1917. The church, St. Mary's Catholic was built one mile west and two miles north of Richmound, on the John Stodalka property. This building was moved in 1928 into Richmound, and used until 1958 when a new building was constructed.
The cemetery is on the NE 23-17-28-W2, about one half mile east of Richmound on highway 371 then just south across the railway tracks. Site visit June 07, 1997.
