Cass County Cemetery #3 is one of three cemeteries that are located within Trollwood Park. The area now known as Trollwood Park was originally the Cass County Hospital and Poor Farm. The hospital was run exclusively as a nursing home starting in 1947. In 1962 the name was changed to Golden Acres Haven. Then, in 1973 the nursing home shut down. In 1974, the property was transferred to the care of the Fargo Park District.

Graves that initially were located in Cass County Cemetery #1, Cass County Cemetery #2 and Cass County Cemetery #3 (all in theTrollwood area near the Red River in Fargo, North Dakota) were transferred to section A of Springvale Cemetery in Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota, USA (Cemetery ID 1811974). A ceramic disc marker was placed over each of these transferred graves in section A. Unfortunately, grass has grown over most or all of the ceramic discs.
