The African American Section of Smetana Cemetery is directly across the street from the Smetana store, which sits facing Hwy. 21 West in Brazos County. The cemetery is behind the Smetana Community Pavilion and the behind the metal building which is used by Verizon. There are no signs which indicate that a cemetery is located there. There is a cattle gate with a chain around it but it is unlocked.
