The Church of St. Nicholas and St. Francis Xavier in Otmuchów (formerly Ottmachau) was completed in 1693. Though a church had been founded in Otmuchów in the 13th century, due to several disasters and economic decline the last church had been demolished in 1490 for structural reasons. The project for the new temple was initiated by Prince-Bishop Franz Ludwig von Pfalz-Neuburg, who employed the architect Johann Peter Tobler to design the building in the baroque style. The interior equipment of the church is largely original, and dates to the late 17th and early 18th century.
