From marker on the front of the building: This saxon church, the oldest occupied building in chichester, was built around 1050. It contains evidence of late 11th century work & was partly rebuilt in the late 13th & early 14th century & restored in the 19th century. It is one of several churches dedicated to St Olave or Olaf. King Olaf Haraldsson, patron saint of Norway, lived from 995-1030 & was canonised in 1164.
The building is converted into a bookstore.
