Established on four acres in 1856, now 32 acres. Original land purchased from Ashel Stevens. Unique to this cemetery is a cluster of small white frame buildings in the center of the cemetery grounds. These are believed to represent the remains of the Cottage Grove Lyceum Hall, constructed in 1855 as a community center. They were moved to the cemetery sometime after the Civil War. A bronze marker with the cemetery name was installed in 1991 by the WA County Historical Society.
