The Highland Park Cemetery Association was established in 1905. Designed by renowned landscape architect, Sidney Hare, Highland Park was the first cemetery in Wyandotte County to embrace the idea that a cemetery could be more than just a burial ground. With its rolling hills, shade trees, and park-like setting people came from miles to visit their loved ones and stroll through the Highland Park.
