Leslie Robert (Bob) grew up in Hutchison, graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. After two years of college an an associates degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M he enlisted in the Air Force in 1950. He received basic training at Perrin Field in Texas and received his Pilot Wings in Enid, Oklahoma. He was trained on jet aircraft at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, GA and spent 6 month in the Panama Air Defense Command. He lived on the base next door to Doc Blanchard the famous football player at West Point. He was forced to quit when he discovered he had asthma. in 1952 he went back to college and graduated from Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri. His degree was in accounting and he worked at Continental Oil where he met Mary. Later he worked for Cook Paint & Varnish as controller where was first to implement computers there. His siblings called him June since he was junior. He was always very handy and frequently worked on projects around the house. Stroke and heart attack took his life in 2000.
