REEVES Shirley Ann, 53, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully Saturday evening May 18, 2013 surrounded by her family. She fought a long battle with Pompe's Disease, a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. Born in Independence, MO and eventually moving to Overland Park, KS, she was very involved in volunteering at her daughters' schools and in Girl Scouts. Shirley will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, mother and friend to many. Shirley is preceded in death by her grandmother Marjorie Moad and mother Beverly Perkins. Survived by her husband and three daughters: one stepdaughter and a granddaughter: her father and sister, as well as many other family members. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 22, from 5-7:00 PM at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday, May 23, at the Cure' of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd., Leawood, KS 66206. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. (Condolences may be expressed at: www.porterfuneralhome.com
