Charles Ippisch Obituary
Charles E. Ippisch, age 74, passed away suddenly at his home in Tenino, Wash. on Sunday, July 6, 2003. "Chuck" was born in Polson, Mont. on July 3, 1929 to Albert and Adeline (Baxter) Ippisch, who preceded him in death. He attended school in Lonepine, Mont., and was employed by the Bureau of Reclamation for some time.On July 21, 1955 he entered the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Knox, Ky., Fort Carson, Colo., and Fort Lewis, Wash. While at Fort Lewis he met Louise Harris of Tenino, Wash. They were married on October 26, 1957 at South Union Church of God in Olympia. They have resided in this area for the past 46 years. Chuck was employed for many years at Georgia Pacific, and retired in the late 1970s from Delson Lumber Company in Olympia.He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.In addition to his wife, Louise, at home, he is survived by one son, Steven, of Tumwater; 2 daughters, Shannon, of Tenino, and Sheri, of Richardson, Texas; 3 grandsons, Zachariah and Joshua Storms and Steven Ippisch; 2 granddaughters, Melanie Storms and Heather Ippisch; 2 brothers, Lester and James, of Mont.; 1 sister, Ina Freidt, of Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.Viewing will be Thursday, July 10th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mills & Mills Olympic Gardens. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at South Union Church of God in Olympia on Friday, July 11, 2003, at 1:30 p.m., with Reverend John Wallace, Reverend C. J. Reaves, and Reverend Tim Hylton officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Mound Cemetery, Rochester, Wash. Reception will follow at the Centralia Chehalis Car Club in Rochester.
