Choco was also very protective of our family. He also loved his "brother" Rusty very deeply. Rusty was a terrier. In fact, when Rusty was about ready to die, he decided to spare all of us, and he disappeared into the corn field. Choco's heart was broken, and a few days later, he decided to search for Rusty. Choco was gone for six weeks, and he finally returned. It was a huge surprise for all of us, because we thought he died of a broken heart, when he was just trying to mend his own heart.
Choco is buried in our yard in rural Frankfort, Indiana and we have a heart grave marker for him.
