Cynthia Jean Swann, age 62 of Decherd, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville. She was born on August 23, 1954 in Wadsworth, Ohio. Cindy was retired from the Franklin County Board of Education, where she had been employed as a Teacher’s Assistant at Mary Sharp School and Clark Memorial. She enjoyed scrapbooking, genealogy, Facebook, and talking to all her friends. Cindy loved her flowers, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her best friend, her husband, until they meet again. Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Henry Dodson; and grandmother, Margie Ruth Farris. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael Swann of Decherd; son, Ryan Swann of Decherd; daughter, Mandy (Clayton) Marshall of Belvidere; grandchildren, Kaytlin Marshall and Howard Curtis Marshall; mother, Jean Dodson of Cowan; siblings, Henry Junior Dodson of Cowan, Dianna Brewer of Winchester, and Mark Dodson of Decherd; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
