Walter D. "Buck" Harrison, 83, of Linden, IN, passed away at Franciscan East St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette at 12:57 AM Monday, November 6, 2017, where he had been a patient the past two and a half weeks.

Walter was born in Clarks Hill, IN on May 25, 1934, the son of the late Lovell and Emma (Ritchie) Harrison and was a graduate of Clarks Hill High School. He married Gayle L. Moore at Crawfordsville, IN on January 16, 1954, and she preceded him in death on October 17, 2006.

Buck was employed at Purdue University 28 years where he retired as a plumbing foreman. He was a member of the Linden Conservation Club, the Moose Lodge in Lafayette and was an avid duck hunter and a member of Duck's Unlimited.

Surviving is a son; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Harrison; two daughters, Deanna Harrison and Deanell Hodson; and a brother, Russell Harrison.
