LAWRENCE LINWOOD SCHWEINSBURG

Lawrence Linwood Schweinsburg died on September 8th at Southampton Nursing Home. He was 80 years old and previously lived on Hampton Street in Sag Harbor. He was born on Shelter Island on November 13, 1915 to Richard and Bessie (Rogers) Schweinsburg. He was the husband of the late Mary (Gilbride) Schweinsburg.

He worked at the Bulova Watch Company as a Foreman in the Press Room. He is survived by a daughter, Mary North of Sag Harbor and a son, Larry Schweinsburg of Crofton, Maryland. Another son, Clifford Schweinsburg predeceased him. He is also survived by two sisters, Bet and Vivian of Sag Harbor. He is predeceased by brothers Carl and Richard and sister Gladys. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 5 nephews and nieces.

He was a veteran of the US Army and served in WWII.

A prayer service was held on Tuesday September 10th at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held yesterday at St Andrew's Church. Interment was at St Andrews Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 2725 Sag Harbor or to a charity of choice.
