Bryce E. Grimme Age 80, resident of Berkeley Square, died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on January 8, 1937, the son of Carl O. and Naomi (Hartley) Grimme. He was a graduate of Short High School, Liberty, Indiana and married Katherine “Bo” Elliott in Hamilton on June 22, 1957. Bryce was employed at Champion Papers as a paper machinist and supervisor for 47 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where he was a member of the choir, taught Vacation Bible School, a member of the Trustees and former member of the Ninth Street Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Sawdusters with the Hamilton Mini Circus. He is survived by his wife, Katherine “Bo”; daughters, Tayna (Dennis) Hughes-White, Peebles, Ohio and Tawna (Bud Weaver) Eubanks, Hamilton; sister, Wanda Pierce, Richmond; three grandchildren, Joshua (April) Hughes, Jessica (Jason) Barnes and Taylor (Seth) Bystrom; three great grandchildren, Beau Barnes, Reese Bystrom and Ian Bystrom; sister-in-law, Kathy West; brother-in-law, Ted (Mary Ellen) Elliott; nieces and nephew, Michael Elliott, Denise Pierce and Vickie Grimme-Powell and devoted caregiver, Anna Bitel. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jay Grimme, sons-in-law, Rev. David Hughes and Richard Eubanks and his brother-in-law, Larry Pierce. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 1200 Main Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45013 with Rev. Randy Stearns officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 12 noon until time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Grace United Methodist Church Choir Fund or Hospice of Cincinnati, in care of The Bethesda Fund, 10500 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
