Jeanette M. Christianson, 89, of Humboldt, passed away on Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.

She was born July 22, 1929 in Otteson, Iowa, the daughter of Ole Magnus and Jennie Helena (Olson) Bratland. She grew up and attended school in Otteson and at an early aged worked for the Locker in town.

On December 4, 1949 she was united in marriage to Arthur Richard Christianson. The couple made their home in Bode and she worked for the Eastman Photo Studio. In 1955, they moved to Humboldt and Jeanette worked for the Hotel in downtown Humboldt until taking a position of cook in 1967 for Head Start. She retired in 1994. She particularly liked to cook and bake and spend time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughter, Jana (Tim); her granddaughters, Michelle (Andy) and Molly (A.J.); her great-granddaughter, Darbie; and her sisters, Dorothy and Virginia (Sherman).

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Nanette.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Humboldt. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
