Connie Jean Highfill, 69, has passed away at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Connie was born on July, 31 1951 in Paragould to Royce and Delois Taylor, both of Paragould.

Connie attended all 12 years of school in Paragould. It was in high school that she met, dated and later married Lindy Wayne Highfill. Connie attended ASU and became a Registered Nurse. She worked at St. Bernard's Hospital and also at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR for many years until she became disabled due to a fall at her home.

Connie loved her coffee, petting her cat "spooky" and getting on her computer in the mornings to greet her family and friends on Facebook. She also enjoyed working on "Find a grave", taking pictures, working puzzles and family get togethers.

Connie was of the Baptist faith. Her greatest joy was her son, Chad, she enjoyed seeing him ride up on his motorcycle to give her a big hug.

Connie was preceded in death by her son, Chad Highfill; her father, Royce Taylor; her grandparents; three uncles and three aunts.

She is survived by her mother, Delois Taylor; her brother, Terry Taylor; her nephews, Jason Taylor and Jacob Weatherford; Linda Weatherford and David Hogan who were like siblings to her; her companion, Lannie Ferrell and his family, several aunts and uncles which include, Peggy and Gene Sessums, Linda and John Huff, Joyce Euston, Wanda Burgess and Jimmy Burgess; special friends, Mac Crawford and Janie Hudson. Janie was like a sister to Connie.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Mitchell Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
