Alfred M.Brown, 86, resident of the vicinity of Mendon for many years, was found dead in his home Sunday morning by a neighbor, Harry Emans.
Dr. Donald Fox, Mercer County coroner, gave a verdict of death due to natural causes , which had occurred two or three days ago.
He was born near Greenville , the son of the late Caneri and Minerva Arnett Brown. He had worked in the oil fields in the community for many years.
His wife died in 1946.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John Brock of St. Mary's, two sons, Harry Brown of Toledo and Elsworth Brown of Levering, Mich., 16 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Dick and Stallter are in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the Dick and Stallter Funeral Home in Celina after 6 p.m. today.
Rev. W.E. Stivers will have charge of the last rites Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be made in Mendon Cemetery.
