Ricky Nolan Cox, 64, of Asheboro, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at his home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022, at Mt. Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Asheboro, with Pastor Neil Poole officiating.
Born in Randolph County, NC on July 9, 1958, Ricky was the son of the late Nolan Worth Cox and Pauline Brim Cox. He enjoyed operating heavy equipment and working on lawn mowers. His world revolved around family and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his son, Casey Nolan Cox and his brother, Gary Lee Cox.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Cox of the home; daughter, Hannah Morgan (Tyler) of Asheboro; sisters, Judy Pasour (Tony) of Asheboro, Sheila Jordan (Jimmy) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Whitley Morgan, Emersyn Morgan, Boone Morgan, Mya Cheek, Garrison Cheek; special uncle and friend, Rudy Brim; nieces and nephews, Emily Cheek (Rodrick) Megan Richardson (Stevens), Ryan Cox, Jeffrey Pasour; grand nieces and nephews, Dixie, Daisy and Asa Richardson; and best friend Kyle Weidman.
