Miriam Elizabeth Zimmerman, 87, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Aug 13, 2010, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg. She was born Aug 12, 1923, in Forest Hill, a daughter of the late Charles and Dora (Ulrich) Wirth. On Aug 19, 1984, she married Sterling L. Zimmerman, who preceded her in death in February 1994.
She was employed at American Home Foods, Milton for many years, retiring in 1988. Earlier in life, she was employed at the Milton Shoe Company.
Miriam was a member of the Chillesquque Presbyterian Church, Pottsgrove.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary D. and Debbie Zellers, of Southaven, MS, and Stanley L. and Karen Zellers, of Lewisburg; one daughter, Yolanda E. Zellers, of Northumberland; one sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Mervin Aikey, of Forest Hill; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Carlton Wirth; and two sisters, Ernestine Wirth and Nellie Aikey.
Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
