Chattanooga Dixon Harris, 42, departed this earthly realm and transitioned into eternal rest on June 24, 2020. Chattanooga was born to Denise Dixon and Willie Dixon, Jr. on August 31, 1977 in New Bern, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Harris and daughter, Shonterra Dixon.

Chattanooga accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of her grandmother, Pastor Vera Skinner at Great Branch Holiness Church. She later became a member of Philadelphia Church of Christ. Chattanooga attained her high school diploma and continued her education at Lenoir and Tidewater Community College. She worked in the medical profession as a CNA and medication aide. Chattanooga's pride and joy were her children, beloved nieces and nephews, and she always took the time to reach out to everyone.

She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters of the home: Kiara Dixon, Tahlia Harris, Jamia Harris, and Diamond Harris, her parents, Denise Dixon of Chesapeake, VA and Willie Dixon, Jr. of Newport News, VA; mother-in-law, Nancy Harris of Portsmouth, VA and father-in-law, Larry (Frencella) Stewart of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Vera Dixon and Amber Jones both of Chesapeake, VA; brothers, Willie Dixon III of Hampton, Virginia, Willie Kornegay and Wilford (Onekia) Kornegay of Brooklyn, NY; sisters-in-law, Natonda (Anthony) Hill of Chesapeake, V A, Dorcas Whitlock of Jacksonville, FL, and brothers-in-law, Antonio Harris of Portsmouth, VA, James Harris of Atlanta, GA and Leroy Blango of Greenville, NC.
