James "Alton" Bailey age 62, of Swearengin Al passed away June 8, 2018 at Shepherd's Cove Hospice in Albertville, following an extended battle against bladder cancer.
He was born December 24, 1955, in Guntersville to Leonard and Shelby Bailey of Swearengin.
He was a member of Agape Baptist Church and served on the Men's Jail Ministry. He worked for Science Engineering Services in Huntsville. He was a certified welder, auto paint & body specialist, as well as an avid wood worker. He was talented and creative with his hands.
He is survived by his wife; Michelle Moore Bailey, two daughters; Kerrie Walker (Dale) and their three children of Jacksonville, Fl. Candice Ballew (Joshua) and their three children of Arab, Son; James "Isaac" Bailey of Swearengin.
In addition to parents Leonard and Shelby Bailey of Swearengin, Brother; Ron Bailey (Janice) of Grant, brother in law, Michael Moore (Beverly) of Mineral Wells, WV.
A memorial service will be held Saturday June 16, 2018 at Agape Baptist Church (78 Dick Hayes Rd. Scottsboro, Al 35769). Visitation with family will begin at 10:00am followed by memorial service at 11:00am.
