Mrs. Arthur R. Ambush
Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Whalen Ambush, widow of Arthur R. Ambush, of Pleasant View, died Thursday evening following a lengthy illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claude A. Delauter of 32 South Court street, aged 96.
She was a daughter of the late William and Jane Whalen. Mrs. Ambush was a member of Pleasant View Methodist Church having served as Sunday School Superintendent, communion stewardess for W.S.C.S. and a member of the Mutual Church Circle of Frederick and Montgomery counties.
Surviving besides her daughter are: a son, Richard Ambush, of Pleasant View; sister, Mrs. Ella Bowins of Point of Rocks; brother, Calvin Whalen of Doubs; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 12 noon. The body will be moved to the Pleasant View Methodist Church Monday at 11 a. m. to rest until funeral services at 2 p. m. Rev. Homer Bullet, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be at Point of Rocks cemetery. C. E. Hicks III, funeral directors.
