Bobby Gilbert Carwile, 84 of Athens, Alabama, died Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Carwile was born February 10, 1941 in Madison County, Alabama. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens, he was retired from Monsanto & Morton Thiokol. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, Alabama State Defense Force and Alabama Army National Guard.
Services will be 2pm Monday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Joel Carwile, Korah Pepper, Kim Bailey, Riggs Bailey, Zeke Carwile and Jo Carwile officiating, burial in Thatch & Mann Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation is Monday 1pm until service at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Green, Martin Bailey, Riggs Bailey, Todd Pepper, Zeke Carwile and Joel Carwile. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Carwile, Kenneth Carwile, Glenn Carwile, J.W. Wallace and Grayson Bailey.
Survivors: Wife, Gayle Riggs Carwile of Athens. Son, Joel F. (Jo) Carwile of Hazel Green. Daughter, Kim (Martin) Bailey of Athens. Granddaughters, Korah Bailey Pepper (Todd) and Dani Carwile.
