Rosemary Sands Johnson was born on June 4, 1955, to the late Willie and Beatrice Wilford Sands in Anderson, South Carolina. She departed this life on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Ohio.
Rosemary professed faith in Christ at an early age and never hesitated to tell others about the goodness of Christ and all HE meant in her life. She was very caring and nurturing and often opened her doors as a safe haven for family and friends in need of a loving place to call home.
Rosemary was educated in the Cleveland Public School system and graduated from John Hay High School in the late 70s. Shortly after leaving high school she met and united in marriage to Ervin A. Johnson II who preceded her in death. This union was blessed with two children, Ervin A. Johnson III (Tony) and La Shaun Johnson who preceded her.
Rosemary was a devoted and cherished employee for 34 years in the housekeeping department of University Manor Health Care where she left sprinkles of happiness and showers of love in the hearts of the residents and her fellow co-workers.
In 1993, Rosemary reunited with Donald White Sr., a childhood friend whom she married on June 17, 200? They enjoyed spending quality time going fishing, on movie dates and eating at various restaurants. Anyone who knows her would say her favorite thing of all time was to SHOP, SHOP, and then SHOP some more.
As an enthusiastic genealogist, she was a longstanding member of the Find a Grave community, known as Rosemary Sands-Johnson White (46609803) where she shared with us her precious son La Shaun. We cannot thank her enough for her love and kindness.
A public viewing will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2022. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, 2:30 PM Wake and 3:00 PM Service at the House Of Peace Funeral Home, 4105 East 71st Street (East 71st and Harvard), Cleveland, OH.
Face Mask will be required for both Viewing and Funeral services.
