Linda Sue Melson Gray, age 74, of Shelbyville, TN passed from this life on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Life Care Center of Old Hickory Village in Old Hickory, TN.
Linda was born on February 15, 1951 in Shelbyville, TN to the late William Rufus and Annie Ruth Moore Melson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lewis Gray and her sister, Janice Webb.
She is survived by her children: Christopher Lewis (Kelly) Gray of Greenbrier, TN, Cory Russell (Amber) Gray of Bell Buckle, TN and Kelly Kathleen Miles of Portland, TN; grandchildren: Isabella, Cooper, Aspen, Austin, Shyla, River and four great-grandchildren; nephews: Nick and Eric and niece, Wendy.
Linda was a graduate of Shelbyville Central High School Class of 1969 and worked as a Supervisor with TN Vital Records for 32 years. She was a devoted wife and mother but especially loved being called "memaw" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving and giving individual with a wonderful demeanor and sense of humor.
She was of the Church of Christ in faith and a former member of the W.O.W. Group and the World Outreach Church.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville, TN with Jeff Collett officiating.
Visitation with the family will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2025, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home.
