Harold Elias Williams was born in The Dalles, Oregon to Charles Fred Williams and Sarah Katherine (Teague) Williams. Born July 11, 1900 he was the middle
child of three boys. He grew up there in The Dalles and finished grade school.
He worked as a farm hand on the Gilpie ranch before moving to Springfield, Oregon. He met Mary Clarissa "Molly" Doane the daughter of Norman Abelbert "Bert" Doane and Mary "Alice" (Kintzley) Doane. Harold made a living as a salesman where he sold insurance and cars. The couple have three children; Sharon, Donald, and Kay. Daughter Kay passed away on May 24th, 1947 at the age
of eight. He also left one brother Carl Williams of Noti, Lane County, Oregon.
