    Gary L. Hinkle, 69, of Melbourne Beach, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008.

    He was born in Barberton, Ohio to Cecila and Leeland Hinkle. He lived in Wadsworth, Ohio before moving to Brevard County in 1994. Gary was owner and operated Gary Hinkle Pontiac-Buick in Orrville, Ohio, and was a pilot for Morgan Firestone in Akron, Ohio. He was in the QB's Pilot Association, in Akron and piloted the Goodyear Blimp.

    He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debbie; daughter, Megan Hinkle of Melbourne Beach; brother, Ken Hinkle of Ormand Beach, Florida; sisters, Sherry Burgner and Jane Berenyis, both of Akron, Ohio.

    A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2009 at The Community Chapel of Melbourne Beach, 501 Ocean Avenue.
