FROM A MEMBER:
Floyd was the son of Edwin and Carrie (Couch) Brown, born in Lisle, NY. He moved to New Jersey and trained as an assistant mortician, eventually opening his own funeral home. See obituary for his many accolades.
Floyd was drafted in 1917 for WWI, in which he served with the Grave Registration Service (Unit 301), finishing as a private 1st Class. He also registered for the WW2 draft in 1942, in which he did not serve. He and Bertha Van Keuren married late in life and did not have any children (that I am aware of).
Robin Benesh 2nd cousin once removed (Floyd's father, Edwin, was brother to my grandfather Hiram Brown)
