Howard R. Crouse, 79, a retired painter and paper hanger, died at 9:30 a.m. today at his home, 535 W. King St., Littlestown. He had been in failing health for some time and was bedfast a week.
Dr. C.G. Christ, Adams County coroner, said death was due to chronic myocardial degeneration.
A son of the late Emanuel and Rebecca (Stavely) Crouse. His wife, the former Daisy Fry, formerly of Bendersville, died January 15, 1952.
The deceased was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Littlestown; POS of A. Littlestown, and Sanderlands Commandery Knights of Malts, York.
Surviving are a son, L. Robert, at home; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Littles Funeral Home, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. William C. Karns. Interment in St. John's Cemetery.
