A memorial service for Michael Clement Warner of Mill Valley will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 9 at his home at 570 West Fairview Ave., Mill Valley.

Mr. Warner died Saturday, Aug. 12, 1989, at San Francisco General Hospital. He was 42.

He was born in Ishpeming, Mich.

He studied at Marquette University in Michigan and at Harvard University. He came to California in 1969, where he earned a psychology degree at Sonoma State University.

He was a self-employed set designer. He also was an accomplished pianist, writer and actor. He played in bit parts in various films, including "Peggy Sue Got Married."

He is survived by his mother, Mary Smith of Seal Beach, Orange County; a son, Eric Warner-Weinstein of San Rafael; a brother, Richard Warner of Palos Verdes; a sister, Johanna Richardson of Cerritos, Los Angeles County; and a grandmother, Victoria Roti of Seal Beach.

Arrangements were handled by Daphne Funerals Marin in Corte Madera.

Entombment will be in Daphne Fernwood Cemetery in Tennessee Valley.

His family prefers memorial donations to The Ministry of Light, 1000 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., San Anselmo, 94960.
