Janey "Carrol" Elsie (Brehmer) Seats was born on June 25, 1944 to Loren Henry and Ella (Melton) Brehmer. Carrol was the oldest of four Children. Carrol passed away July 13, 2010 at the age of 66 years and eighteen days.
Carrol attended Zion Lutheran Parochial School and graduated form Alva High School. She also went on to graduate from Cosmetology School at Alva.
Carrol married Everett LeRoy States on March 19, 1961. To this marriage three children were born. Alter their divorce She married Bradley "Brad" Saum. Upon his death in 1972, Carrol spent the next 30 years traveling with the carnival. During this time she married and divorced Don McNeil and Gerald "Rusty" Seats.
In 1998 Carrol moved to Ansley, Nebraska where she worked for the State of Nebraska as a care provider. Carrol was also active in the Collie Rescue Program. After retirement she traveled back and forth between Alva and Ansley to help care for her mother.
Carrol was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Anahese Bryant, brother, Henry Brehmer and three husbands.
Carrol Is survived by her three children; Christen Bayant of Ansley, Nebraska; Lee States of Alva; Teresa and Dennis Cote of Alva, sister, Marilyn (Jan) Davison of Alva, grandchildren; Karessa and Jason Fox of Kearney, Nebraska; Liese Bryant of Broken Bow, Nebraska; Patricia Bryant of Kearney, Nebraska; Bradley Bryant of Ansley, Nebraska; Brad States of Oklahoma City, Joe States of Alva; Jake States of Medford; Athena Lambert of Oklahoma City, Ella Cote and Sylvian Cote of Alva, great-grandchildren; Jadin, Rose and Charles Fox of Kearney, Nebraska; Faith and Nicholas Lambert of Cherokee and a host of friends and relatives.
Carrol is also survived by her constant companion border collies, Patch, Angel, Patty Pup, and Lady.
