Robert was a native of Cincinnati Ohio who had lived in Lily Dale for 30 years at 19 Fourth Street when he made his transition to Spirit at the age of 76 in 1941. His wife Ella and daughter Mrs. Bessie Clark had preceded him. He left behind 4 children, Mrs. Fred Barkell, and Mrs. Gertude Schenk of Buffalo, Mrs. Robert Sherlock of Chicago and Robert Greenamyer of Detroit.
In 1910 Robert was working at a bookkeeper for an automechanic in Detroet, With him and wife Ella was daughter Lida age 17 who was a bookkeeper and son Chester Eugene Greenamyer age 21 who was a USN sailor . On the 1930 census us, he and Ella were living in Lily Dale. He was 64 and a laborer.
His daughter Lida Greenamyer first married Daniel C. Abbott. (1888-1921) He is buried in Michigan. She next married Robert Eric Sherlock, (1891-1943) He is buried in Ohio. She passed away in Los Angeles California 202) Lida was an excellent student at the Lily Dale one-room schoolhouse 1906
His father Chester Decatur Greenamyer was a Civil War veteran who had been severely wounded in the foot. In 1905 Chester and his wife Margaret were living with them in Lily Dale too.
