Vesta A. "Sis" Curry, 67, of Madison, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born July 16, 1943, in Evansville, the daughter of the Rev. Lawrence K. and Delores Campbell Curry. She was raised in Chandler and was a graduate of Castle High School in Newburgh. She was a graduate of the nursing program at Deaconess in Evansville. She married Robert Kaiser in 1964. She had lived in Madison since 1990 and worked for 12 years at Madison State Hospital as a registered nurse. She had previously worked for King's Daughters' Hospital, Warrick County Hospital working as a director of nursing, emergency room nurse, OB nurse and surgical nurse. She was raised in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed playing the piano and the organ and collecting frogs.

She is survived by one son, Robert Kaiser II of Madison; one step daughter, Debbie Bennett of Madison; one sister, Marlene Barnes of Evansville; six grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Heidi Sue Kaiser, who died in 1990; her mother; her father, who died Jan. 2, 2006; one brother, Kenneth Curry; and one nephew.

The funeral was at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Booneville.
