She was one of three children born to Clarence Edwin Jarrell and "Patsy" Juanita Johnson. Her brothers are Larry and Foy.
She and Charlie were married September 8, 1964 while she was still in high school -- but she went on to graduate.
They had three children: Ricky, Ginny, and Shelley.
She worked for H&R Block for 25 years before retiring.
