Graveside services for Phyllis Catherine Wailes, 84, 1300 N. Canal. St., who died Saturday in the Carlsbad hospital, are to be Monday at 2 p.m. in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Tje Rev. Robert E. Richardson of Grace Episcopal Church is to officiate, with West Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born Nov. 29, 1902 in San Antonio, Texas, she moved to Carlsbad when she was 17. She was employed here for short periods of time. In 1940, she married A.Y. Wailes in Carlsbad, and for the past five years she made her home at Lakeview Christian Home.

She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church.

Survivors include: her husband, A.Y. Wailes, Carlsbad; three sons, Allan E. Baldridge of Carlsbad, John Baldridge of New Braunfels, Texas, and George Ater, San Miguel, De Allende, Mexico; a brother, Harry LeVelle, Carlsbad; four sisters, Glennis Smith and Viola Daggett, both of Carlsbad, Julia Wallace of Casper, Wyo., and Mildred Sims, Tyler, Texas; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
