THE PARIS NEWS, July 14, 2006, page 6. - Eleanor Mae Ray Rex, 87, of Dallas, formerly of Paris, died from complications following surgery on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are set for Monday, July 17, in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. with burial in George Washington Memorial Park under the directions of Herbert Craft, Jr. Funeral Home of Erdenheim, Pa. Local arrangements are under the direction of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home.

She was born April 19, 1919, in Norristown, Pa., to James B. and Eva Ziegler
Ray. She married Joseph Fletcher Rex on June 14, 1941, in Norristown. Joseph died April 14, 2002. The Rex family moved to Paris where Mr. Rex served as the first plant manager of the local Campbell Soup plant. Mr. and Mrs. Rex were very active in many civic organizations while in Paris and were members of the Central Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three children, Rick Rex and wife, Diana, of Richmond, Va., Larry Rex and wife Shirley, of Plano, and Sandi Langeness and husband Chuck, of Luck, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, Jeff Rex and wife, Terrie, Ryan Rex, Michael Rex and wife, Jessica, Lauren Rex, Chad Langeness, Chance Langeness and wife, Jessica, Cash Langeness and wife Jennifer, Cosby Langeness, Cody Langeness and Colin Langeness; six great-grandchildren, Darian and Ashlyn Rex, Caden, Makayla, Catcher, and Cole Langeness. Also surviving is a sister, Jean Crawford and husband, Bill, of Port Orange, Fla., and brother-in-law Gilbert Rex and wife, Kay, of Erdenheim.
