My Great-Grandmother Elmyra (Kidd) Hixson said her grandfather John Kidd was buried at Pricetown, Highland Co., Ohio. This has now been confirmed via a notice in the paper stating he was buried in Barker Cemetery. I'm assuming he is in an unmarked grave.
Grandma Hixson also said that John came out of Tennessee. I'm not sure why she believed that when he was clearly from Virginia, but maybe that is where he was during the years I can not find him on the census records.
John's father was reportedly a Shadrick Kidd, and John named a son Shadrick.
I will not, however, link John to the "Sherrod Shadrick Kidd" that is currently linked as his mother's husband, because that memorial conflates 2 different men.
