Christine Rita Prondzinski (Walkowiak), passed away on April 27, 2011. She was survived by her husband, Chester, until December 2013. Her parents, Constance and Stanley Walkowiak, died long before her, and she was the last of their children to die. Her brothers, Walter, Louis, Chester, and Casmier died at least 22 years prior to her death. Her sisters, Elinor and Eve (Eve died right after birth). Elinor died in 1970. Christine is survived by her children, 3 grandsons, and 3 great grandchildren. Her urn is at St. Patrick Cemetery in Mchenry, Illinois, and her husband will soon have his urn right next to her.Christine R. Born on October 25, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Stanley(Constance Stachowiak) Walkowiak. She was a 1947 graduate of Tuley High School, she later then married Chester Prondzinski on October 24, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. She started as a homemaker as time went on she started to work for the General Time Co. as a Lab Technician for the Apollo Space Project, following that she worked for American Can Co. and was involved in various roles, including the AFLCIO. Finally she completed her working years at Gearmaster of McHenry, IL, a division of Emerson Corp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Louis, Chester, Sisters; Eleanor, Eve.
Survived by her loving husband Chester, Daughter; Carol(Ed) Lagestee, Sons; Craig(Christine Viola) Prondzinski, Christopher(Mary) Prondzinski, and 4 loving grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at 11 am at the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church of Wheatfield. Friends may visit from 10 am until the time of services at 11am.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
