FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WED. FOR I. MOLYNEUX


Funeral services were held in the Miller M. E. Church Wednesday, December 14, for Isaac Molyneux, 70, who died at the Miller hospital Monday morning Mr. Molyneaux was born in France. May 20, 1868, and had lived in Hand County for the past 46 years, part of which time he lived near and in Ree Heights. He is survived by his wife, five sons and two daughters.

Isaac Molyneaux Had Been Resident of Rockdale Twp. Forty-Six Years. Services To Be Held Monday From M. E. Church.


Isaac Molyneaux, 60, and a resident of Rockdale township died on Monday morning at the Miller hospital a victim of suicide. Molyneaux had swallowed a large quantity of London Purple, an arsenic insect spray, nine hours before his death.

Poor health and depondency (sic) were thought to have prompted the act. Members of the family said he had appeared worried for some time.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon from the Methodist church in charge of Rev. Albert Hartt. Burial will be made in the G.A.R. cemetery.

Isaac Elijah, son of John and Amanda Molyneaux, was born in Sac county, Iowa, May 20, 1878, and died at the hospital in Miller, Monday morning, December 12, 1938, at the age of 60 years, 6 months and 22 days. He was of English descent, his grandfather having been a captain in the English army.

At the age of 14, he came with his parents to Hand county, where he has since resided. On June 30, 1909, he was united in marriage to Carrie Zarr of Washta, Iowa. To this union were born eight children. Wilson, Clara, Murlen, Lyle, Melbert, Everett and Rosemary, all at home. One daughter, Elva Mae, preceeded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his family, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hammil of Miller, Mrs. M. A. Hammill of Atascadero, Calif., Mrs. Blanche Reamer, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Sarah Bowker of Clarinda, Ia., and a number of nieces and nephews.
