I am working on the Ripley County, Missouri cemeteries. I have House and Couch relatives in various cemeteries located in Ripley County, and a few surrounding counties. Since I was from a small town, I am trying to do all the cemeteries I can since I know people in all of them.
On one grave site I found this inscription:
"Those who do not remember and treasure their ancesters do not deserve to be remembered by posterity."
And I couldn't agree more. I find myself loving people who have been buried for fifty years. I have developed an awesome sense of responsibility for gathering data and pictures for the gravesites.
