My sister got me interested in genealogy back in the early 70's when she began her research on our Paternal Grandmothers family. I did not seriously start researching till the early 1990's.
Most of our ancestors [prior to 1930's] are buried in family burying grounds or common local burying grounds. Some are back in the woods, some by creeks or rivers, some on hill tops... Many of our family graves have not been found...someday hopefully we will find them.
As with most researchers, our Ancestors start in the Colonies and migrate through out them and westward to Kentucky, then on into Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, California etc.
Family names include Blacklock, Burden, Bailey, Duke, Dugger, Blair, Craig, Cox, Lamar, McCarty, Stinnett, Bratcher, Renfrow, Robertson, Robinson, and many many others.
